Audio problems

Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite A10 laptop, model number PSA1OC-OOREH. I had gotten a virus recently, and after I deleted several files my sound has stopped working. The little sound controller has disappeared from the bottom right corner.

I'm pretty sure that right now I don't have a sound driver installed anymore, but I'm not sure what I can do about it.

Also, after the virus my Windows Media Player has stopped working. It freezes up during the launching.

you could:

reinstall wmp

check on the sound hardware by going to device manager, and seeing if it has any ? symbols etc by it. you may need to update the driver.


what, and where were the files you deleted? they may have been something to do with your sound.
