Potentially the longest thread in history...

It's ridiculous. The Ranger is supposed to be cheaper than the F-150 but now it's more expensive. I was looking at the Dodge Rebel and I'm not paying muscle car money for a damn truck.

Or compare a half ton to a 3/4 or 1 ton. Not much more for a lot more truck.. But 70k for a truck is a bit much.

I meant well used... you might not be one to drive around a '06 chevy though...
I drive a 21 year old car now, but here's the deal. People still want 6-10+ grand on a used truck from the mid 2000s. They aren't worth that much. In 2011 I had a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 I spent 1200 bucks on. That same truck now will go for 5 grand. Absolute no from me dawg. If I'm putting 10k on a truck it's going to be a 2020+ with all the creature comforts already installed rather than me piecing that crap together like I did in my Mustang.

Here's one example I was linked to a couple days ago. 6000 for a 2003 that doesn't even have the 5.7 or a Cummins. It's no wonder the dude has posted multiple times to try and decrease the posted time on the ad. And almost 200k miles at that.

Here's another example of inflation. I bought my car in 2013 for 4 grand. 1 owner, 42k miles, 100% unmolested (aka not a single thing was done to it but maintenance). This guy wants 4700 and says "all original" when it clearly has a cold air intake on it and a headunit among other things. The ABS light is on, which means it had something done to the front end causing air to get into the ABS lines. 3,000 car at most for 122k miles.
