Is making a profit off of jailbreaking ipods illegal?

you can technically drag and drop on an ipod. you just can't drag and drop and listen to the music but you can use it as a regular hard drive. also you can take music off of it by going into the hidden folders on the ipod and dragging out the music and placing it into your itunes library. but it isn't a true drag and drop media player which is a bit annoying, but I have no problem with it.

it isn't too annoying until you try synching to a different computer or even on another login account. heck, it's even risky plugging your ipod in to charge on another computer in case iTunes is installed and it is set to autosynch (so i hear). i just can't abide them because of apple's bull, for instance their deliberate efforts to block third party support for the iPod in linux. they're too cheap to pay people to code it but they can afford to pay people to block the efforts
