Computer fans *LOUDER* after a through cleaning?

That happened to me a while ago as well. I was cleaning my computer with the compressed air and aimed right at the fans so that they rotated. After assembling and turning on the comp they seemed much louder. Than I remembered an article I read about how you need to prevent the blades from turning when cleaning. Now though it seems O.K. again!
