Trust me, you don't want to see a tornado up close and personal. Been there, done that. Thankfully they didn't come through where we lived but we were right in the middle of a cluster of them.
what quakes we've had around here have been very small. I've missed all of them so far. There is a major fault that runs under the west part of Tennessee that is way overdue for a major quake. The last one from is created Reelfoot Lake.

Grew up in California and been through plenty. Most notably the 1989 Loma Prieta (Bay bridge series quake) hitting 6.9 on the Richter Scale.
They can be real freaky but I got somewhat accustomed to them as we had a large string up in the Lake Tahoe area about 3 years ago.

i was on a website linking what there sensors picked up. they picked up a 5.5/ 5.7 in some spots, i think its been pushed down to a 5.0 to supress public concern because all news sites are saying 5.0 but all the websites you can go onto that show what the instruments pick up say 5.5/5.7
I would love to be in the street [or somewhere safe] during a quake. Would also like to see and tornado and stuff Im sure its very frightening if you are actually there but when you live in a country that at most gets a bit of wind and rain, it just looks exciting !
I think i am odd in that i like bad weather though. As soon as there is a thunder storm i am outside in a flash, i love the show
