What You've Just Bought!

Nice one, Harper. You'll have to let us know how the performance of that 4050 does. I'm looking at a gaming laptop for when I travel.
It runs Starfield with everything maxed out. I am getting 80+ FPS on it.
Laptop has been easy to upgrade too. Additional 4Tb drive for all my data and game storage. Only down fall for this laptop was the stock 512Gb Drive. This i will replace the next time i do a clean install of Windows with a 1Tb.

I have max out the ram to 64Gb because i can.

I am hoping to purchase a copy of the Crysis remake when it's on special on Steam.

After this year's Quakecon I am definitely moving to getting an eGPU and using my laptop. I just can't deal with hauling and setting up 2 computers anymore.
I pretty much moved to from desktop to laptop back in about 8 years ago. I got tired of juggling data between 2 computers. At the time, my partner (Now wife) got me a Playstation 4. Spent the last few years being a console peasant.
2 reasons why I have gaming laptop now
1. Wife does not want me owning a Xbox just for 1 game (Starfield)
2. I can put some of it toward my tax due to my work and my side business (3d Printing). Good luck doing that with an Xbox with the Tax Department. Slicing 3D print models with the better GPU is so much faster.

They actually weren't bad, and not as demanding as the originals were.

I finally moved my external to my server on a share, and moved to using Microsoft accounts with Onedrive for that reason. Between that and Google Chrome syncing I have all my data.
I didn't wind up buying an eGPU box though, figured right now it was a waste of money. I'd honestly put that money towards a Macbook air.

I got a few thing to sort out this month (Car registration and service). But i am looking around for about 2Tb of storage.

Took advantage of Prime Day.
ARZOPA Portable Monitor, 16.1" 100% sRGB FHD 1080P Portable Laptop Monitor . 35% off was took good to pass up.
Looking at using this down at my dungeons and dragons club when I am DMing.

New toy. Normally i am running a D&D game at the club on my laptop. Problem I am facing is the room we have been provided does not have any power points.

Laptop by itself -- I can survive 3-hour session and still have power left over.
Laptop with portable 16.1 Display. -- Just failing it at 2 hours and 45 minutes. Last 2 session my laptop did with about 15 minutes left to run on the game.

Today order... UGREEN 145W Power Bank 25,000mAh 3-Port Portable Charger. This should get me to the end of the night. Connects into my USB Power on my laptop.

Bought a new top for my desk to expand to 78". Now I'm already trying to find something deeper because losing 5" of desk depth is a no go for me.
Also bought a Ubiquiti Enterprise 8 PoE to go in the attic only to find 2 of my 10Gb transceivers are not working properly.
Also bought a metal hinged cover for my Blackstone to start grilling again in this cooler weather.

Ordered myself a few new things.

Google Pixel 7 Pro, 128GB (and a couple of cases for it)

Asus ROG Claymore keyboard w/Cherry MX Brown switches

(2x) Thermaltake SWAFAN EX 12 ARGB fans, 3-pack, reversible blades
