I recently installed griftsoft AVG and uninstalled adaware se and symantec live updates a windows xp home edition computer. After the restart though I had nothing on my desktop and when I try to access certain things (i.e. control panels) it says it can't find the explorer.exe.
I ran the AVG and got rid of 8 trojan horses, but still did not fix it. Is there anything I can do that doesn't involve a complete restore??
Also, I did find the explorer.exe file, but when I double click on it I get the same error.
