simple question about re format

Im gonna reinstall win 7 - and am doing my backups now , i know this is newb but i have to sure , when i reinstall win 7 will the drive D still be left untouched /formatted.

I have a setup cd that will save the old windows files in a folder called windows old , and format the rest of the drive - So is it safe to leave stuff in the second drive - d ( a separate partition )

Yes. As long as you do not accidentally format and install windows to it during the install process.

IMO my setup was worth every penny. For pure gaming a PII or i5 750 would be just as good for less money...but I love power and for some of the statistical programs I run the power is nice.
