whats a good horror game?

The first time I played doom 3,

I played in the dark in surround sound and all the graphics maxed out.

That game scared the **** out of me, but now Im used to it and its lost its effect.

Half Life was pretty freaky in a way, but it wasn't overly scary.

Just the sounds of creatures all around you, and then how they randomly jump out of nowhere right at you when you begin to think your safe.

Not to mention the game looks like the designers dipped everysingle level in a digital giant bucket of blood and guts.

haha i did same thing man. But i had my brother in my room who screamed when a monster was about to jump out. >< LOL, i got scared like twice as bad..

I'm playing Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth at the moment and that is pretty scary. You take control of a Private Investigator and go to a little village in search of a missing person. But when you get to the village all is not right..........................
