This is partly iPod related, but mostly usb related.
When I try to update my ipod with new songs, my computer recognizes is imediately but says that It's not connected to a highspeed port (I've tried connecting it to all of my ports and get the same message). Then it takes like 2 hours for iTunes to realize that there is an iPod connected.

So I click on the help box about the highspeed port and get this.

So then I was like WTF and went to check out lavalys and saw this under summary.

Do I really not have a highspeed port? What should I do?

The confusing thing is that all of my other usb devices work quickly with no problems.

Thanks.

You might have to go into your bios to change the usb setting to highspeed which does 480mb/s, right now i'm guessing that yours is set to fullspeed which only does 12mb/s.

Good suggestion, but I just went into my bios but saw no way of setting usb speed; just enabling or disabling usb 1.1 and 2.0
