You don't need that adapter. All you need is an HDMI cable. That will give you the best picture (and sound) to your TV.

Oh, wait. . . Does your TV have an HDMI port?

Im trying to connect my laptop to my tv. I don't have an s-video port. I just have HDMI, VGA, and DVI. i found this, http://www.amazon.com/NEW-CONVERTER-S-VIDEO-CABLE-ADAPTER/dp/B000S675JU. Supposedly, it works but only if your video card supports tv out. What exactly is this and how can i see if my card has that.

Im not trying to be a jerk, but you guys haven't answered my question. How can i tell if my video card has tv out? Once again, i have a nvidia geforce 9200m gs.

Ok. From what I understand all GeForce 9 Series GPUs support PureVideo HD. Which, in turn means they all support TV out.

The VGA to S-Video converter will work, just don't expect to see a high quality picture.

actually i was going to use the RCA component of it, but thanks for answering my question. I don't no anything about video cards.
