Troubles using Ventrilo & Teamspeak

I want to set up a voice server so that my friend and I can just voice chat while playing games. I have the server versions and get a server set up, use my client versions and put in the figures and I get in the server. My friend uses the same figures (Ip,port,etc.) and he can't get in.

I just need help setting this up. Someone who can chat on AIM would be appreciated. I will use either program, whichever one I can get help on.

click on that link, select your router model, and follow the steps to forward the ports required for Teamspeak.

You can try the same for ventrilo thru that same website.
