I've seen tungsten T5's go through the wash and still work fine afterwords...

perhaps flash memory is water resistant? as long as the circuitry is dry?

now i have gone and dropped a belkin DVI-VGA adaptor in a bowl of milk. i am very clumbsy. (sp?)

i washed it in the sink to get the milk out of it, and am now leaving it to dry.

I wouldnt have put it on my heatstink though, just seems like a chance that it will do even more damage that way.

Mines been through the washer about 3 times and it still works, they are pretty durable, especially compared to floppys. Floppys used to break every time you touched them.

nah, i got all the water off it, and then just put in the plastic cover of the sink to warm it up, and evaporate the water inside.

My wirless USB signal thingy to my mouse went thru the washing machine twice, and I also stepped on it and yet it still amazingly works....

sadly my ipod was not of its caliber, and died a sad, painfull death.

goodbye Ipod:(
