I made this since I registered as a Linux user at http://counter.li.org

I used MS Picture It 7 Pro since PhotoShop was being a brat.

I used Photoshop, drew a line at a set pixel width, set the opacity to i think 35-7% and ta-da.

To make them equal distance, I drew two lines on a layer and set the layer where I wanted it.

No fancy plug-ins.... just good ole tweaking... lol

PS. Quantum, are you a sole Linux user now?

Not really. My cheap PC can't run Linux without it not detecting some component or another. Knoppix is what I use since it can use all of the PC's hardware. It's god enough for now. I am planning to build my own PC next time (I have hp now) for Linux.
