Problem with macro program: WinMacro

Hello,

I recently downloaded WinMacro and I'm having trouble getting it to work. It works on one of the computers I have perfectly.

However, on my laptop, when I hit record, I can't do anything with the mouse or the keypad and the only way to stop it from recording is ctrl alt delete. Is there some setting I have wrong on my laptop that is blocking the macro program from working? Have have windows xp pro.
