Media Player Problems

When I play music in Media Player with other programs open and minimize the window it seems to jump and skip. If I then maximise the window the problem goes away. I therefore can't use other software and listen to music at the same time.

I have a pretty fast PC so I dont think that is the problem. Has anyone else had any similar problems and know how to solve it? Is there any way to configure media player so that it is always the top window?

thats weird....have u got the latest media player ??? i think its media player 10 ...

Yes it is the latest Media Player. I have checked for updates and its the most recent one.

How do i check the performance settings for minimised aplications?

I tried using Quicktime and didn't have the same problems??

do you have a raid card?

you can also slow down the hardware acceleration

Yes I have a Raid Motherboard. (Asus P4C800-E deluxe).

sometimes having your harddrive on a raid will make the music skip. updating the raid bios (if they have an update) can sometimes fix it.
