Just saw avatar...

I woke up today and my parents told me we are going to go see avatar at the IMAX theater down in Saco. This will be my first time seeing anything in an IMAX theater because the only one in the state is 1.5 hours away... It sounds like it is going to be a lot like the omni theater in Boston which means its going to be awesome.

i really really do not want to see this movie. i'd bet i get dragged in somehow.

reasons:
too much hype
trailer doesn't really make it seem interesting to me. ok, blue ppl hopping around doing things; whoopidoo.

Dude, don't let petty reasons (no offense) like that keep you from seeing a great movie. This certainly won't be the same on DVD or even BD...it's really gotta be seen in the theater to have the full effect IMO.

It's not bringing in loads of money for nothing. Movies that have one-time viewers don't bring in the numbers that Avatar has brought in, and people usually don't see a movie more than once unless it's **** good.
