Can (anyone) who smokes...tell me this:

Why? What got you 'hooked'?

I hear people say it relieves some stress and so on--but I guarantee you, the first few times you 'smoke', this will not be true...so that means there was something else that made you start.

All I can figure...from what I've seen through all the schools I have been at...kids just do it to "fit in" or to "be cool"--you ask them why they'd ever even consider doing that, they have no reason... The stress one is the only even remotely considerable reason, of which so far I've only heard it from people that are mid-aged...but yeah...tell me, please!!

Thanks to this thread...last night i had a dream.....the dream was that i smoked a few and got addicted......i remember looking down at the ground and i was knee high in cigarettes that i smoked......don't remember anything after that......but i bet next i got a bunch of bills in the mail for chemo because i had lung cancer...... >_<
