and yes, it'll be running 24/7 with the p4 and ps3 (well thats on when it can be... i've started playing games on it though )

Need as many people as we can folding....plenty of gpus are still going
unused while not gaming.

agreed... i was split between the choice of gtx280 or the 4870x2... it was a tough choice... but then i weighed the options.. and looked past high fps...

i mean... gtx 280 in games is gonna be 150 fps in a game.. while 4870x2... is 200... but really now.. i won't see the difference, nor should i care!!! there will be no physical difference in gameplay....

and on top of that... i realized i only play games maybe 3-4 hours a week... and my computer sits on 24-7.... so why not do something useful with my computer!!!

and i look at it this way... folding@home can be my new benchmark... time to try to get number 1 here... lol, 2 gtx 280's here i come!!

It varies, most ive done is like 30??

FYI, multi-gpu setup is a PITA....took me a while to do it.


The client doesn't *officially* support multiple gpu's....so yeah you
have to do a work around using shortcuts in non sli-mode.
