Hey guys I am having a huge problem with my connection for my laptop. I have a desktop and a laptop and this desktop I am on now works just fine with the connection and all that. However wirelessly my laptop is very slow...I am able to connect to AIM but nothing else. My browsers dont work or anything (IE,Firefox,Gamespy Arcade)...currently websites are loading but it is VERY VERY SLOW almost 56k speed. I first thought it was my old router so i went up to my school apt. and got my other netgear WGR614 router (little white one). I dont know what is going on and I am very computer literate...The only thing i can think of is i have some sort of virus or spyware but i ran virus checks and they were fine and am currently doing a spyware scan with Ad aware. One more thing even when i plug my laptop directly to the router it still acts up...My first thought was oh crap my network cards in my laptop are bad but that cant be the case because i drove around and got someones internet that worked FINE. someone give me some insight... PC Specs : Dell Inspiron 9300 17" widescreen, 1.86 ghz intel , 1 gig of ram, wireless built in and modem.

Ok my desktops IPconfig/all gave me this:

alright ill give it a try...i also went to DELL's site to see if there was any update for my network adapter and there was so i am installing the drivers for it now.

You may run into problems with the onboard intel wireless as i've seen alot of connection problems with them.

Why is that and do you think I could get a replacement... I just did the HYbrid thing and my laptop is rebooting....I just dont know whats a better network adapter i could get

well hopefully it will work so you wont have to worry.

I've seen instances where it connects to an unencrypted network and not an encrypted one. or some hold the network for 5 or 10 minutes and then will lose the connection.

I had one that wouldnt connect to a sonic wall at all no matter what i did.

If you still have problems with the wireless try to upgrade the drives sometimes it helps
