Well it looks like my Processor is in need of a upgrade for the future of gaming and that it gets to warm for me. Around 50-70 c
So my specs right now are:
Pentium 4 3.0Ghz 478 Socket
XFX 7800GT PCI-e
Albetron PX914P4C Pro Mobo
2 Gigs PC 3200 RAM
Sata 150 320gig WD Hard Drive
PATA 100 120 gig WD Hard Drive
Right now my questions go to either AMD or Intel. Iv looked at the Core 2 Duos and according to the benchmarks they do well for gaming. But im wondering if there will be a significant diffrence between a AMD and a Intel 2 Core Proceesor
The Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 or The AMD Athlon X2 +4600 Thoughs are the two processors i am thinking of atm.
If i do go amd what Socket should i go with the AM2 or go with the 939 Socket?
If i stay with the 939 i can sue my old ram but if i go with the AM2 ill get the DDR2 performance.
Then after that is all said and done i have to chose a Mobo, either one AMD or Intel will be a asus motherboard.
So what should I do?
