I have a Dell 8100 desktop that uses RDRAM. I have previously upgraded RAM and now have all 4 banks filled. 2x64 and 2x128 for a total of 384 megs. I had an opportunity to pick up a single 256 module at a good price and I would like to know if I can swap out one of the 64's for the 256. I understand these modules are supposed to be installed in pairs but I have not specifically been told that they MUST match. In other words, is it the banks on the MB that must be used in pairs or do the module pairs need to be a matched pair??
