Hi there. i am currently running CentOS at my home and it is running pretty good. i just wanted to know that in my college we have fedora core 3 and sometimes even in gnome some applications crash frequently (UML to be specific) . i just wanted to know that if linux is considered such a stable OS then how come this application crashes so frequently??
Also i am considerably new to linux and i am interested in learning it. but there are so many things to play around and i would really like some tips from you guys for my "path to the enlightenment" of linux
Also if i ever was capable of writing a few driver programs then on linux what should be my language? (i know "C" somewhat ). is learning shell scripting really worth it?
