.NET based Forum

I am looking for a forum like phpbb2 for my website, but want one in .net. Actually i use a SQL Server 2000 database to check for user names and passwords as my code is in .net.

But i want to have the same username and password for the people who login to my site as well as the discussion board. phpbb2 has the database in mySql which i dont knw how can i access through .net.

Please help me. Any kind of suggestions are most welcome.

Is there any way i can tell how good a forum is before actually using it?
