My P35-DS3R isn't recording audio

I'm using Audacity to record audio from my desktop (like music, applications, etc...) into a wma mp3 or whatever audio file.

The problem I have is that Audacity can't seem to work with the audio inputs on the P35. My laptop works fine but everytime I try to record something, the recording is just dead silent.

Anybody have this problem?

go to control panel, sounds and audio devices, then click "sounds and audio devices"

in the "voice" tab, make sure the correct sound card is being used.

Also, there might be a setting in the Audacity program that lets you choose which sound card it will use.

If that fails, it could even be that the sound input is muted in "sndvol32"

I would def check audio preferences in audacity.
