If i order pc parts or get my extended family to ship over from the USA, am i likely to get screwed over by a huge tax bill which in the end makes it totally pointless because i save no money ?

I live in the UK by the way.

Yes unless its under £35 in value tax gets added, I looked into it before today not just that the cost of shipping makes it not worth the low cost.

Customs an Excise have the right to open or scan a package if they believe that you are trying to evade paying any tax an hold it till you pay any outstanding taxes an fines.
