I am receiving this error message in cisco anyconnect

The user is trying to connect to a VPN and is having issues. The user keeps kicking him out the VPN connection, it's saying max time exceeded. The user is a new hire and trying to get connection from home and he was able to connect to VPN recently and he had no issues.
The user says his username was placed on an exception list for the VPN, I checked this in AD.

This is the exact message. I do not have access a lot of our network equipment or software or gateway, the network guy is out right now I may have to wait for him to get back in he has the password to get in.

"The secure gateway has terminated the VPN connection. The following message was received from the secure gateway,"Max Time exceeded"
 
Perhaps the user isn't terminating their session correctly? The VPN server probably has a maximum time allowed for each connection
Double check that the new hire is actually clicking "disconnect" when they're done.
