ok, i kinda messed something up on my laptop

nothing with an extension (ex. .jpg, .bmp, .doc, .xls) will show up as an icon (picture, word, excel, etc.) and when i click on them,m it doesnt know what to open the files with and asks me what to use

it's becoming pretty annoying

right click on a file, and go to properties, and pick the program to open with and apply settings. then all files of same type will open with that program.

i tried it but the closest i could get to excel was some wierd looking icon

and this laptop isn't mine, or else i can deal with it

i installed some nero thing and uninstalled it and all my icons were gone
