Hello folks,
I am troubleshooting a notebook computer at home. I have been looking in several different areas but I am now convinced that my problem is graphically related. When I run the DirectX tests for "Direct3D Acceleration", the box with the DirectX logo comes up but the box is spinning so fast that it does not look like a box. Its hard to explain but the box looks more like a star and you cannot read the "DirectX" logo. I get the same result when I run all of the tests in this category. I have since run the test on two other computers and both PCs gave me slowly spinning boxes with the DirectX logo clearly visible.
Is there a way to uninstall DirectX and then reinstall a fresh copy? I checked Microsoft's website and I was unsuccessful in finding a thread that explains how to unistall DirectX.
Thanks, Bill
