Happy Free Comic Book Day!

Looking for something to do today? It's Free Comic Book Day so you can go to a participating shop and pick up a copy of your favorite comic. Whether you want to see what's going on with a comic you read as a kid or try something new to add to your collection, this is a good day to do it.

Free Comic Book Day is a single day - the first Saturday in May - when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE* to anyone who comes into their stores. *Check with your local shop for their participation and rules.

Normally the publishers like Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and some of the other bigger publishers release a free comic book just for that day. Normally it's a short story involving one the thier populare titles. Like I remember picking up the X-Men / Runnaways Free Comic Book Day issues a few years back.

You still need to pay for your regulare standing order.

Appart from that, most of the comic books shops tend to have sale on that day.
