Graphics driver issue

my aunt got a gateway that came with a xp home and all the drivers for the laptop, and with all these trial versions of antivirus programs that i had big problems with, so i formatted with XP Pro SP2, and now in device manager the Display adapter is not recognized. i went to intels website to download the intel embedded 855 graphics controller driver, and it failed due to internal software error, i tried installing from the disk but im guessing it didnt work because of its XP home, but the one i got from intel was xp pro and still didnt work. what do i do? oh and i need a driver that will install properly for Intel 82852/82855 graphics controller Gm/GME

goto gateway's website and get THEIR driver for it if they have one

tried tht, didnt work.

go to dell and get one. look for a video driver in a d410 or d610 (notebooks). unzip the folder with winrar (right click the file and pick extract here). go to device manger and select the vga driver. pick update driver. now head to the extracted file.
