I have a preference for professional photography myself (i.e. steady pictures and movies). I can also see where Gonzo serves a purpose. What have you to say?
Photographers belong behind the camera not infront, only time a photographer should be seen is by accident in a mirror in the background. Photography is a hobby of mine and there are very few photos of me I avoid the lens end of a camera

Ok don't get smart! Painting and photography are two totally different artforms, painters express themselves and self-portrated are rarely accurate because they depict the artist as he/she sees his/herself. Look at some of the first cameras there was absolutly no way to take a self-portrate picture the timer delay on cameras is still fairly new I believe it was added within the last 20-30 years while cameras have been around since the 1800s
Don't bring one artform into a discusion about another you just show your ignorance!
