So I woke up this morning and pressed the power button on my computer, and absolutely nothing happened.
I thought the PSU might have gotten up plugged, but the switch lights up red when it is switched on, and it was lit. So the PSU is getting power from the wall socket. I then thought that maybe something else inside the PSU may have gone bad. I tested it by turning it on by shorting the power on and ground pins on the 24 pin connector, and sure enough it starts up. I tested all the voltages with a multimeter and they were all fine. I then thought that the power switch may have gone bad, so i tried shorting the power switch pins on the motherboard with a jumper, and it would not turn on. Is this enough to conclude that my motherboard has gone bad? Is there any other tests I should do?
