I have been asked to install Canon imageRUNNER 2420 for Windows XP, Vista & 7 PCs. It does not have a network interface, however, the its drivers CD include scanner software called ScanGear for remote scanning within a network.
I want to make it scan from a USB connection from all the above OSs. Any one can help please?
I installed that software for XP from the CD but could not find any place to change the port from IP to USB. I searched the web and called Canon, but their customer support sucks. They did not seem to understand the problem in the first place.
