i have not ever done that. so by that do you mean from my computer manufacturer (Lenovo), or from the motherboard, gpu, chipset, sound etc manufacturer seperately? i think the video system is an integrated intel chipset. but i will have to look up all the specs for my laptop to be sure.

From each manufacturer separately will usually get you the latest drivers.

If you're an intel-based system with an integrated GPU, then you'll get the Chipset and GPU from them. You'll just have to look in device manager what brand/model of sound card, wifi, and ethernet you have.
