smp uses multiple cores of the cpu, and gives many more points than the standard cpu client.

I think a q6600 at 3.5ghz can get a good 2500-3000ppd running smp.

i think thats what i'll do when im at work since no one uses my computer while im gone

no, smp is made to take advantage of multi core cpu's, its an x86 based client.

gpu's are still faster, and work in a whole different manner.

To get the most ppd from your 8800GTS, just oc it as high as you can get it.

If you had a dual pci-e board you could add another for $100 and double the production.

im not up for upgrades anymore.
i did a basic oc on my gts! i heard for memory, your not suppose to go over 1000 ...
so im at 750/999, not sur eabout the shaders

once i get home ill get the smp installed!
