smp uses multiple cores of the cpu, and gives many more points than the standard cpu client.
I think a q6600 at 3.5ghz can get a good 2500-3000ppd running smp.

Yeah take the shader as high as you can go, thatll boost production.
Higher shader clock = more ppd
