Ok so I have Vista 64 bit and I wanted to be able to dual boot Vista and Freedos. I used Vista to make a partition roughly 30 gigs in size(I know way too big for freedos but whatever) and called it drive E. I left it unformatted, since the only format option was NTFS, and freedos needs FAT32 or FAT16. So, it is a raw partition. Now when I go to install freedos, it only gives me the option of installing onto drive C. I want to leave my Vista on drive C and install Freedos onto the new partition I made, drive E. However, I am having a lot of trouble doing that. Is there any way to do that?

Thanks for any help. :)

Use GParted LiveCD to format that partition as FAT32, then you should be able to install it.

But since FreeDos doesn't require that much in resources, you may be better off just running it from Vista in a virtual machine like vmware.
