So I have this laptop and I can't open any program. It just gives the Open with... window, my antivirus has been deleted. Attempting to open Add or Remove programs gives me "C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundl32.exe" "Application not found" I have been able to run malwarebytes antimalware in Safe mode. I tried installing Avira in safe mode which would give me this error: Installation of the Microsoft Runtime Redistributable Kit has failed.
The probable cause is a Windows update running in parallel.
