Mak, its a typical byproduct... you can reduce it a bit by lowering the cpu slider in the preferance...

You do have areo on correct?

Yeah Aero is on. I have the CPU slider down to 75% already. Should i really lower it more? I know i can help prevent this by turning off Aero. But sorry, i got the goodies, it would be a shame to waste them.

Actually aero prevents lag... as weird as it sounds, it does.

Interesting. Most of the time you hear that turning Aero off helps. First time i heard it helps?!?

I toned down the CPU just a bit to about 70%. See if that helps.

No, enabling aero ironically smoths out the lag. Might be due to keeping the gpu in a hiugher state of 3d settings.

Yup as funny as it is, Turning on Areo helps 95% of the time.

It honestly could be the card. Its just not got the umph to fold and be smooth...

hehe, got my psu back today, and got the 260 in my Folding rig now. Yeah i know fahmon does not calculate the bonus, but i like it a lot better.

edit: sweet... my 8800GS's are still under warranty. Anyone have an idea of what card they would replace it with if the card somehow stopped functioning and I had to RMA it?
