I have this preamp that ill sell its an extra dont get a m-audio sound card if you want good clarity you are better off with a em-u...
I use a emu along with a blue vacume mic mxbox and im able to control my synth etc all in one shot lmk if you have any issues i have set up many studios

i ended up getting a Lexicon Lambda (guitar center was sold out of the m-audio stuff, which was what I originally went to get)

It's a really nice unit, I would of preferred the one that you guys mentioned but this was all that was available and it gets the job done, thanks EricB and ricanflow for the help of steering me in the right direction.
