\windows\inf\biosinfo.inf - ERROR - please help !!

Hi, Can someone please help me with a very very annoying problem. I get the following error message when i turn on my pc. \windows\inf\biosinfo.inf and no matter what i try i vant get past it. I have tried to go into the bios but it wont let me and also i have tried to do a reinstall of the windows xp operating system and it wint boot from CD and i cant get into the bios to change it to boot from CD-rom first. Can anyone enlighten me as to what i should try ??

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

It looks like your BIOS is either corrupted or damaged. Get the new BIOS and flash it. That might help.

Maybe a stupid question but how do i know what bios i am using ?? I cant get any info on startup or get near the bios itself.
