eAcceeration's spyware picked up this virus on my computer: Trojan.MulDrop.3338. eAcceleration may not have the same reliability as other free software like Spybot or Ad-aware. but if I have this virus, what will it do to my computer?

Here's what eAcceleration's site says about it:

How It Infects:
Trojan.MulDrop.3338 can be distributed by any means, including but not limited to:
# Email attachments

# Infected websites
# Hyperlinks to infected websites from email or instant messages
# Downloading by other malware
# Through peer-to-peer networks

How To Avoid Infection:
Do not click any unexpected links in instant messages. Do not download email attachments from unexpected sources. Do not download unknown files or files from unknown sources. Scan all downloaded files with StopSign and ensure that all updates are installed from Microsoft Update.

# TrojanDropper:Win32/VB.GK
# Win32/TrojanDropper.VB.LU

# rojan/Dropper.VB.lu

The virus itself looks like it won't do anything other than copy files, but as any trojan, it makes it possible for other people to do things to your computer.

You need to get rid of it.

how?

The file is found in the recycle bin. I deleted all the files. does that solve the problem? i'll run another scan and edit this post.
