I was looking at a $3000.00 alienware gaming laptop.... Not that I was going to buy it.. but, it be pretty cool to have...

I'd sooner spend that kind of money on a more rewarding gaming PC, but that's just me.

Laptops aren't for gaming.

100% True...you will be paying a heck of a lot for a laptop that can game, and is still far inferior to what you would get on a desktop. Get yourself a cheap laptop for mobility and build yourself a gaming desktop.

you can save alot by buying a prebuilt desktop or building one then a laptop, eg my bro spent $1200 on a gaming laptop, 3 days later i got the specs and planned out a build that went under $600
