Ok i see the problem. I though your budget was in USD.
Also i'll have to take Australians higher prices into a count.
I started looking at cheaper motherboards, but they are all just stripped from features. Like no RAID support and analog surround sound audio. No SLI or crossfire support. And some only had 2 RAM slots.
so i think it's a good idea to go back to Gen 4. You will also save a little going to DDR3 ram. (you can also buy DDR3 RAM supported motherboards for Gen6, but there are not that many options)
The GPU and SSD has also been stepped down in performance.
Because of the less power hungry GPU, it's alright to go down on the PSU as well.
What do you think of this? It's all from the same place and they ship to Australia. The price is 920
