TouchPad

I have a Toshiba A305-S6905 Laptop. been trying to no prevail to disable the touchpad so i can just use my wireless mouse. any help? running ubuntu 12.04 by the way

From your user manual:

Disabling or enabling the TouchPadâ„¢
The TouchPadâ„¢ is enabled by default. To change the enable/disable
TouchPad setting, press Fn + F9. This hot key enables/disables the
TouchPad. For more information, see “Disabling or enabling the
TouchPad™” on page 209.
