Hey Everyone:
I'd like to know if anyone knows anything about the "Thermaltake Silent 939 K8" CPU FAN being compatible with the AMD X2 4200+ processor? (Here's the link if anyone needs it: http://www.thermaltake.com/coolers/cl-p0200silent939/cl-p0200.htm)
What I mean by compatible, does it disappate heat as well as if using a single-core AMD processor?
I didn't realize that the AMD Retail box processor comes with a CPU/FAN Heatsink. I ordered the Thermaltake Silient 939 on a sale for 30.00. I heard that the AMD Retail box contains a copper piped heatsink which you're supposed to install below the motherboard where the CPU socket is. Another question to raise, if I do use the Thermaltake fan (assuming it is compatible), do I need to install the stock CPU piped sink as well?
I really need a quick response please because I intend on returning the Tt Silent 939 K8 fan if there is no use in it.
Thanks
