The difference between "b" and "g" networks?

USB requires processor time, PCI will generally have its own processor.


In terms of b or g you want to go g. Ok most home ISP's are not fast enough to require it but you have to consider other network traffic too.

In terms of security i have to use a quote Andrew S Tanembaum's Computer Networks book on WEP and 802.11:
"The 802.11 standard prescribes a data link-level security protocol called WEP, which is designed to make the security of a wireless LAN as good as that of a wired LAN. Since the default for wired LAN's is no security at all, this goal is easy to achieve" :D
