Sounds good! Never hurts to try anyway and if it's an e-book.. not like we have to worry about 1000 paper copies sitting around gathering dust if it doesn't fly right??
What I mean is, structure it like your forums. A section on Hardware, Software, OS, Linux, etc.
Make it searchable and put a diffacult level on it. Things like changing your wallpaper give a 1 but things like editing your registery give a higher level. Do the same for a Risk level. This will at least warn people that it has a higher chance of effecting they're system before they execute the task.
And example would be this:
Section II "Win OS"
Chapter "Windows Keyboard Shortcuts"
Dif Level 1, Danger Level 1

Another good idea might be to have a basic troubleshooting section in the book. It wouldn't have to get into the really advanced stuff but stuff like system clock loses time, etc.
