Screen Recording Software?

Hello everyone!

I've sifted through a lot of freeware looking for a decent screen recorder and so far all of it has been total ****. Can anyone recommend a good screen recording software? I really don't need anything fancy; it just needs to be able to record my actions on the screen. Thank for all answers in advance.

Fraps and HyperCam come to mind.

I have a version of Fraps but so far I cannot find a way to record just my screen without a game. I will try HyperCam though, thanks.

If Hypercam does not fulfill your needs, I would give CamStudio - Free Screen Recording Software or Jing, screenshot and screencast software from TechSmith a shot. Both programs are free (open source) and seem to have fairly consistent positive feedback.
